Our Pre-K program is for children between the ages of four (4) to five (5) years. The Pre-K center contains areas for quiet play and open, unstructured areas for creative play and construction.
Your child will learn many important skills through play; listening and language development, physical coordination and social development. Emphasis is placed on developing desirable social skills, developing positive attitudes about themselves and their classmates, following directions, and mastering the developmental tasks that will prepare your child for successful kindergarten work.
The Pre-K program schedule will help your child acquire a variety of skills; it encourages active learning and promotes social interaction. The schedule provides time for your child to work alone, in a small group, in a large group, or one-on-one with a teacher. By following the Ohio standard for learning, your child will also learn the basics to help them excel into Kindergarten. We focus on academics learned in Kindergarten such as the ability to write one’s name, letter and number recognition, problem solving, reading and basic math skills.
